Pawpaw and miracles

Well most of you know my grandparents raised me! Well this past Saturday I was at work and got a emergency call from my sil that said get to hospital now it's pawpaw! I hung up and ran out of work and speed down highway to hospital! Come to find out once at hospital my pawpaw had gone into cardiac arrest! If his girlfriend of 13 years wouldn't of been home and started CPR soon as it happened he would of died! Well Saturday after about a hour they started cooling pawpaws body down over a 24 hour period to a chilly 33 degrees to help preserve his muscles and brain! It was a waiting period! He was in icu in critical condition! On Sunday dr pulled us in another room and said during re warming period he will not survive and to go ahead and say our goodbyes pawpaws heart was only beating at 10percent when most peoples heart beats at 60 percent! Pawpaw has a dnr so they wouldn't be able to revive him! Well Sunday it was a waiting period watching him rewarm! At about 10:30 that night he was up to 95 degrees and they started weaning him off paralytic and coma meds and tryed waking him! At 1:30 am Monday my pawpaw reopened his eyes after the doctor said he wouldn't survive! The icu nurses were crying happy tears! We all were amazed! It was a miracle! By Monday afternoon he was off the ventilator and most the meds! Now today wed he is off all meds and ventilator he is on o2 and now in a regular room and got some food through a feeding tub tonight! He has came just a long way in such a short time! I believe in miracles! Dear friends I hope this story helps you realize life's to short! I know this whole week iam thankful to have my pawpaw still and faith has been restored!
