Patience, POAS, Annoying People & More....
The 2ww is usually tough, but after an FET, ugh, it's really hard! I was doing ok until today actually. Not sure why the change, but suddenly this morning I woke up with this horrible feeling I'll be getting a BFN. Of course I'm trying to analyze my symptoms to see if AF is coming, but I just cannot tell. I don't feel the usual PMS I do and AF is due to arrive in 2 days. I think the progesterone might throw that off though? And I wonder if the progesterone is "tricking" my body and so whatever symptoms I do or don't feel might be because of that? Overall, I really don't feel all that different and for some reason, my cautiously optimistic attitude has changed into pessimistic. I guess it's also hard to comprehend the idea that I could get a BFP after literally 26 or more months of getting BFNs (but that was natural TTC or IUIs). Either way, I'm losing patience and about ready to POAS but then that freaks me out too because I know I won't trust the results whatever they are! I decided I'm going to try to wait until the morning of beta to POAS.
So to change the subject....I have a quick rant that I've ranted about many times. I'm keeping in mind that people who have never struggled with IF are pretty clueless when it comes to IF, but still.....why do women think it's ok to talk about their future children and how they will get pregnant when they first try, etc. around women who they know are struggling with IF?!?!? (no need to actually answer this, as its not really a question so much as me being annoyed here). I talked to a friend last night and was complaining about this to her, and this friend has 2 young kids and both times she got pregnant easily and had good pregnancies) and she said that after knowing my struggles, she finds she is much more sensitive to IF and is careful to talk about certain things and thinks ahead when talking with women who don't yet have kids and knows they want them. She said she knows its hard for people to be sensitive to a subject when they haven't gone thru it, but there's also common sense and trying to be perceptive and sensitive to others' feelings. Now, why can't more women think this way!?!? Anyway, I'm just frustrated with people lately....I think people chalk my IF up to my age and think that its ok for them to discuss how they will have no struggle since they are under 35 and healthy (even though we all know that means crap to IF). It just sucks to have this stigma that I'm 43 and TTC. Well, I'm out to prove all these doubters wrong and show 'em that 43 year olds can get a BFP and have a good pregnancy!
Thinking of you all, thanking you for all your great support and especially for all the great advice on my last journal about POAS!!

That is really awesome of your friend! We need more people like her in the world. Lots of people have zero pregnancy symptoms this early and the progesterone will throw those off anyways. So try not to read too much into the fact you are or are not feeling pregnant. Good luck making it through the rest of the wait. I hope this is your BFP!
Yes the 2ww does stink, stop trying to guess your symptoms, Progesterone mimicks pregnancy and AF symptoms so its really hard to tell.
For me I always waited until beta to POAS as I knew if it was a bfn I would be crying for the rest of the day and with the amount of bfns that I had that was a lot of tears. I say wait till the day.
My fingers are crossed for you. I want to see you prove them all wrong!!!
Oh man the TWW totally sucks, messes with your every thought. Glad you are waiting to POAS until your Beta day, I usually waited until then as well. Progesterone really gives you symptoms that seem like pregnancy and even AF so it\'s hard not to read into every little thing. Your friend sounds amazing, I wish all my friends were so well informed! I try so hard to help them understand but its not easy. Can\'t wait to hear your beta results! :)
I have heard that the Progesterone really messes w/ your body...and your freakin mind. It\'s so hard NOT to overanalyze everything, but trust me. TRY to keep your mind off it!! Read a really naughty book ;-) I also love to preach about how to not POAS as long as possible, but in reality i\'m an addict, and can absolutely not wait. After a BFN result i\'m always like OMG I so could\'ve waited. But if you break down and do it, I totally understand. You\'ve gotta be sooo close to beta by now!
Everything plaus on your mind when your PUPO. I think I\'ve had times when the progestetone gave me full of symptoms and some where I had none.
Keep trying not to POAS.
I\'m sure this is your cycle. I can\'t wait for your beta. You\'ll prove them wrong.
Every day feel like a year, in the 2ww, the hours feel like days,
I hated it...
Hoping for the best for you
