Passed the test

Passed the test! It was difficult at times, but I made it through with flying colors. I have yet to take in any alcohol since stopping on March 22nd. I am very pleased with myself and it does seem to get easier. Mostly because I don't think of drinking as often. When I do it is still rather unsettling and depressing, but the feeling always passes and I am a better person for not  using alcohol.
I think the world would be a better place to live if people didn't drink alcohol. Then I think of how Muslims forbid drinking and I have to rethink... I guess the use of alcohol and being drunk doesn't make the world a terrible place to live for yourself or others. It's what happens when people are drunk. I am pretty sure a lot of pain happened "last night" because someone drank alcohol and lost control of their mind and body. It's really sad... some child was abused, a woman was hit, a car crashed and a life was ended. It all happened and the abuse of alcohol was the cause~
 
Not for me ever again. I take an oath here and now to live the rest of my life alcohol free. If ever I should stumble and out of human weakness succumb it will be but the briefest of time for I will continue to live free as I have chosen this day.
