PARTY, PARTY, PARTY
Last Saturday night Fred and I attended my 40th high school reunion. I wasn't going to go because I would be in a wheelchair. My classmate and Fred's best friend Bill, called to see if we were going because they were flying in from Boston. So I decided to go. I had the best time EVER!! Six hours went by soooo fast. When classmates realized that I was in a wheelchair they came up to me to talk. No one asked me why the wheelchair. It was fun to see how each of us looked. It's true our waistlines grew wider. Anyway, we played trivia games of the 70', who has been married the longest, who held the longest job and that would be ME. Forty two years in healthcare. What was the # 1 song so on and on. It was time for all of us to leave and the host was raffling off the table tea light candle decorations in our school colors of red, black and white. There was only one left and Peggy called my name. She said the last one is for you Darlene. She handed it to me and I tried to blow out the candle. It didn't work so I tried again and the I realized it was a fake tea light candle. I started laughing at myself. Little did I know my whole table was laughing so hard I thought we were going to pee our pants. Fred just shook his head while laughing and said that's my wife never a dull moment. I only had water to drink too!
The next day, I talked to some peeps from the reunion on Facebook. I learned that I wasn't the only one who tried to blow out a fake candle. Can't wait for my 45th one.

How nice to read such a happy journal, Darlene. I\'m so glad you and Fred had such a nice time out. I suppose that I might have been like you and hesitated about the wheelchair, but not for long! I would have gone!! I\'m proud of you for going out to have some fun with hubby!!!
That\'ll hold ya over for a while eh?? YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY for a night out at a class reunion! They actually cancelled mine because not enough people showed interest. That\'s our class alright! Hippies, right out of the sixties!! LOL
