Party Again At Work!

I went a bit hypomanic this morning... I woke up at 8am after only 8 or so hours of sleep and I couldn't fall back asleep. I considered taking some klonopin to help myself go back to sleep, but I decided against it, since I'm trying to wake up earlier anyway. I have to wake up early tomorrow, too, to get the turkey done. Geo and his parents are supposed to pick us up at noon, so I have to be up at like 8am to get the turkey done. The thing that sucks the most is that I'm 99% sure they won't be here at noon, it will be more like 1, and so then I could have slept another hour. What I'm probably going to do is wake up, make the stuffing and put the turkey in the oven and then go back to sleep. Or at least try to go back to sleep. I did manage to get a nap in today after taking some klonopin to get me to nap (just a little bit). I needed some rest. Now I'm just worried that I'm not going to sleep tonight, and the hypomania is going to get worse tomorrow and I'm going to crash. Right now it's mild, but there is no telling what is going to happen tonight.
Like I said in the title, it was party day at work. We had a nice Thanksgiving party, with a bunch of food. I had all kinds of food, from corn cheese pie to coconut rice and beans. The coconut rice and beans was very good, and so was the stuffing. We had a deep fried turkey, and it was my first time eating a deep fried turkey. It wasn't too bad, but the breast was a bit dry. I'm hoping my turkey tomorrow is going to be better. It's been in brine since last night. I found a recipe that you soak it for 2 days, so that's the one I'm trying. I put some onions, parsley, rosemary, and thyme in there too, to give it some good flavor. The stuffing at work was amazing, there's no way I could make stuffing like that. It was cornbread stuffing with chicken in it... it was so yummy! I'm just going with boxed stuffing with some onions and stuff in it. All the chopping is done, I just have to assemble the stuffing, put it in the bird, and cook it.
I hope I sleep tonight. I don't know if I should try and go to sleep early since I have to wake up early, but at the same time I'm not tired. I know if I try and force myself to sleep it's only going to end in something bad... like me waking up in the middle of the night unable to sleep. I guess I will have to see as the night goes on. It's only 8:30 now, but if I'm supposed to wake up at 8, I should be asleep by 10. Oh well, it's the hypomania in me keeping me awake, I know that. I will just have to survive on klonopin in small doses (my anxiety doses) to get me through the night. My doctors know I use my klonopin for sleep, so that's not a problem. They also gave me Restoril for sleep, but that doesn't help the same way klonopin does. I try not to take a lot of the benzos since I know they are addictive, but I can't help it on nights like I've been having lately. I need them to get back to sleep when it's 2am and I've been awake for 2 hours and I know that the only way for me to get back to sleep is some klonopin. It's just what I have to do to keep myself sane.
Mood today was good.... I had a good time at work, even though I left early because I only went in for the party. I went in early anyway since I was up, and helped out a bit beforehand, but after I just felt tired so I tried to go home and sleep. I finally managed to get some sleep around 4:30 to 6pm, and then cooked dinner. I doubt I will be home early tomorrow despite going over to the in-laws so early, but I just have to hope. I will most likely need sleep and I don't want to be moody. I hope that the Giants are not playing football tomorrow, since that's going to mean screaming and yelling when I'm sensitive. Heck, I know that they are going to watch football, and I don't want to be there for that, but that's what I get for saying I would go over there on Thanksgiving.
I guess I need to think better next time. I was just so excited about cooking for a bunch of people I forgot what kind of people I was cooking for. Not that they are bad people, just passionate. I am passionate too, but in a different way. I'm passionate about the people I love, not really about things or events. I'm not into sports, I watch TV but I can do without it, I like going online but can live without it too. I read, and used to be passionate about it, but it's waned over the years. Oh well. I guess there's only so much my poor mind can handle. Anyway, I hope everyone has a good thanksgiving and I hope mine is good too!
