PARENTS

Some parents are a tresaure ther's nothing they won't do;
Some on the other hand dump on anyone in blue.
There is some moms who camp, cook & sew & even some who bake,
Whlie others can't be bothered saying "Thanks for the break"
Some moms & dads pull together for their daughter's team.
Putting up the tents in which their children dream.
Of furry little friends who will visit in the night,
And finish off the smores before the morning's light.
Some parents always bring the smile that brightens up the day,
While others are so sour they scare the racoons away!
If I were not a Guider & didn't know my place,
I would like to see some parents with egg upon their face.
But if I were not a Guider, I woudn't have a part,
In a weekend camp for kids that's a blast right from the start!
So I will tolerate the racoons and the nasty parents too,
Just because it's so much fun & it's the Guiding thing to do.
Dedicated to the Sisterhoods of Girl Guides of Canada & beyond who have to tolerate the parents who act like children & cope with the children who in turn act like their parents
