Paranoia

I have always been pretty entrenched in ED to the point where I was never really overweight, but now a few others have validated that I am fat and even though it is the truth, it is really hard to handle.

Thank you to everyone who told me they think I look fine or not to focus on my body, it means a lot!

I am really struggling right now and sorry to keep harping on this, but I do't take criticism well, and I am really having trouble accepting that others also think I am chunky! I cannot find a balance. Guess I will stay miserable.

Tell, you the truth, I think that the healthiest place to be as a recovering ED who has never really been overweight is a little bit chunky. It gives you a little safety zone for your eating habits.

I gained a TON of weight from my birth control, and I\'m still struggling to get some of it off and accept it. I was underweight before but now I carry it in my thighs. I don\'t even want to put on a bikini anymore. But it\'s getting easier to accept, and it\'s slowly going away with working out. Don\'t stop eating, just eat healthy and work out, I promise that will be so much better than dealing with ED.

i\'ll tell you this as a medic (and someone who was put in charge of the overweight program in my unit when i was in the army)... not eating lowers your metabolism. you are more likely to gain weight when you don\'t eat, then when you do eat and you let it be digested. just eat healthier, excercise 4-5 times a week (in moderation of course) and you\'ll be fine... to tell you the truth, i think you look just fine the way you are. i know you probably don\'t believe me (as you don\'t know me) but if you ever need advice or someone to talk to, just send me a message hun
