Panic attacks
Well, this is really scary and I am praying I get this all under control again. When I was driving back to Baltimore to pick up Buddy, and anticipating a very frightened, growling, snarling mess of a dog (and how we were going to get him out of the back of this woman's car), I got a really bad panic attack. I had to take a Xanax for the first time in well over a year. Scared the daylights out of me. Felt like I could not breath, like a heaviness in my chest, dizziness, heart palpitations, a little bit of hyperventilating, feeling like I am going to pass out, back of neck pain, shaking feeling, chills. I have to say, about 15 minutes after I took the Xanax and the lady showed up and David got Buddy out of the womans car and into mine, I felt much better. I was able to drive home.
My brain these last few days has been in over drive and the panic attacks are bad and almost daily. Have taken Xanax 4 of 5 days. Was on my way home today driving and out of the blue, had bad bad panic attack. Took Xanax. 15-20 minutes but got relief after that. Phew! I just need to hang in there.
I am trying to eat a little better. Still have a ways to go there. And no ifs ands or buts, have to start exercising again! Still NO exercising. I am going to change that. Weight today was 160.3 lbs. 30.3 BMI. Mini goal is to get to 158 lbs which gets me to a loss of 15 and also my BMI moves down to 29 which is just "overweight" and out of the "obese" category.
Hormones are off, I know this. TOM was last week. I was SO weepy before and I was hoping that it would get better but it has not. I know this is affecting the panic attacks combining with the stress. TOM is gone but still feeling "off." Cramps (minor but there.) Moodiness, emotions running amok. Sore boobs.
Had to take a Xanax last night before bed. I laid down and it was bad. Took a Xanax and slept well.
Buddy is doing fine. Follows Paul all over. Praying, praying that all goes through and goes well next weekend on 12/15! Please say a prayer that this all goes through and goes well. Joe and Erin are very sympathetic and are determined to give Buddy a good home and help him through his fears. So all that is good. As soon as I get confirmation, I will go to the vet to pick up sedatives to knock him out a little during the long trip.
Joyce: I have a very knowledgeable and wonderful foster with Above and Beyond English Setter Rescue who did their home study and lives minutes away. If anything happens or they change their mind, she will get him. he will NOT go to a shelter.
Got most of my shopping done online and then rest at Kohls with coupons. need to get some cash for my sister's older kids and then gift card for nephew. No decorations up yet. I have two trees. Maybe this weekend coming up i will get started. Paul did put lights up outside but we have to get the animated animals and trees and snowmen out and the light up train!
Sunday was David's 16th birthday. I can say that over a week and no major drama with David. Thank you God! Things have felt good this week. We took David to Olive Garden for dinner Sunday with Paul and I and my Mom and one of David's friends. Can I dare hope for a light at the end of the tunnel???

Oh, and depression is there, an overwhelming sense of impending doom! Damn I hate peri menopause!!!!!
Did Wii Walk It Out for almost and hour. Got in over 13k steps today. Need to keep that going. Rotisserie chicken, baked potato, carrots and homemade cranberry sauce for dinner. Total comfort food. Working from home tomorrow.
So happy to hear that you were able to celebrate David\'s birthday and that there\'s been no major drama lately. An adolescent\'s brain is supposed to change around 16, so we can hope the coming year shows some settling down with him!
I remember the panic attacks during peri menopause. I\'m glad you are able to drive when you take the Xanax.
Happy BD to David. I hope things keep getting better.
