Panic attacks?
Over the last 2-3 weeks I have been having horrible dizzy spells. They are really bad when driving. As soon as the car starts moving, I feel it coming on. Then I get upset and scared and my heart begins to race really bad. it was building up worse and worse and then 2 days ago, it was all day while I was on the road. Yesterday, I wasn't even driving and had panic attacks all day and finally rushed myself to the Dr's. EKG was normal. He put me on Antivert for the vertigo. No panic attacks today. I had to drive to the cardiologist to get this heart monitor on for 24 hrs. I feel slightly better today but still not any where near feeling like myself. Going to try to go bowling tonight and see what happens.
Stress from work is really really bad. I am thinking inner ear infection causing the severe vertigo and then the stress and vertigo with motion of car causing severe panic attacks. I am back at cardiologist tomorrow for echo cardiogram and then back to my Dr on Thursday for follow up. My ears are bothering me a little today and bad headache. I was able to drive to cardiologist today with just a little dizziness and head fuzziness but no panic attack at all today. One of the side affects of the antivert is drowsiness, so maybe that is part of it today.
