Palm Sunday
Aloha, everyone! Happy Monday!
How was everyone's Palm Sunday? What an exciting day, right? I remember when I was a kid, sometimes in Indonesia on Palm Sunday, we would have palms to wave around during the service. Everyone would be so amped up already... And waving the palms frowns around made us even more excited because we would try picture our selves actually there waiting For Jesus to arrive! And then (if I remember correctly) we would throw them down on the ground and make a path way. lol. Everyone would be celebrating with such happiness. I was looking forward to something like that again yesterday. I didn't go to my regular church, but instead went to Jeff's old church up on the north shore. There were no palms or jumpin' and jivin'. But at least we read about His arrival into Jerusalem on a donkey. I wonder what MY church did, hmm?
Today I have 2 appts at the Va. The 1st one is to have my IUD removed. According to schedule it is suppose to expire this month and i know it already has (the hormone ran out) because my breasts have been in (more) pain for a few weeks already. I remember when they put it in I was in pain down there for like a week from them maneuvering it around. I am not looking forward to it maybe hurting again like that. I may not be able to get a new one till next month, they said. The 2nd appt is for my allergy follow up. These don't seem like they know what's going on half the time. And that's because after 10 yrs ago of testing positive for all kinds of things, my recent tests all came back negative. That should be good right? But, I still get runny, stuffy nose, asthma coughs, itchy skin, rashes, etc. So they don't know what to make of it.
I finally called a relator. She said she can understand why I am worried about the house. She said the houses on my block are selling for about 1/2 of what I owe bank. I have been having anxiety and stress about this. She still thinks I may qualify for some kind of forgiveness SHOULD the house sell. But we have to see what happens. I have yet to finish renovating the 1st floor. We recently finished beautifying the gardens. I have faith that it WILL sell. I'm just not sure how bad the damage will be financially for me. The relator is coming over tomorrow.
WE opened a storage unit this weekend (finally) and started moving some things in there. Slowly but surely, we are making progress. I am trying to not get overwhelmed.
We are still working on getting hearing aids for mom. I can't remember if I posted about it but her hearing test results came back 70% hearing loss in the R ear and about 45% hearing loss in L ear. It will cost about $2,000 out of pocket for the aids.
Well, folks.... I hope you have a blast this week. I'm sorry if I don't have the best sense of humor lately. I don't mean to be too serious. I am trying to lighten up. I just feel a little burdened at the moment. Sigh. Anyways.... Take care and God bless! :)

P.S For got to mention.... My mom lives with us. She can\'t drive or afford to live on her own because she is on partial SSDI. She has been giving Jeff and I a hard time about moving. She\'s resisting every inch of the way it seems. One day she says she will consider the move the next day she is arguing with us (mainly me) for probably hours. It\'s almost a daily battle. But I can\'t stay here. Our HAO is a foot away from bankruptcy. They have almost no money in the checking account and close to a million in debt. I feel like I am being strangled. But because mom doesn\'t pay the sky high asc fees plus the mortgage that is under water, she doesn\'t understand. This is contributing to the weight on my shoulders.
Ok thanks for letting me vent some more.
Just another rainy Sunday for me - glad you enjoyed your day!
I hope all your appointments go well.
I had a friend who had to let her house go back to the bank because houses in her neighborhood had been foreclosed and they were selling at auction for $200k less than what she paid for her house. She had to relocate due to her husband\'s work and they had to just let it go. I truly hope your sale works out for you financially - it\'s tough out there right now!
Thank you, Peace. It is crazy what is happening across the natio with the housing market. But honestly, I felt it was coming a while back. I feel stupid for believing the relators 5 yrs ago that it wouldn\'t affect Hawaii\'s market and went ahead and bought anyway. They said it \"might\" affect it a little but it will bounce right back so I had nothing to worry about. But in my heart I knew other wise. I just figured I would stay here through through the economic issues till it came back up. Little did I know that the HOA would go sky high in debt or that I would get married and we would be interested in another island. Anyways..... thank you so much for your support. Every bit of it counts. ((hugs))
I hope things turn around soon. Anymore,,I just curse obummer and wonder what is next, plus worry about my children and grandchildren.
I was wondering if you could rent your house.
I am wishing you the best.
We are talking about the option of renting. But it\'s the last thing I would want to do (last resort). I don\'t want to deal with renters in my house damaging walls, doors, plumbing, etc. And we wouldn\'t be making much of a profit from it to cover the debt. I don\'t know if it would even be worth it.
