Paint Is Not One-Sized-Fits-All

So Do Finishes

Flat paint for walls can be touched up with more paint, but does not wash well. Eggshell or satin finishes can be cleaned up with soap and water and will stand up to most home cleaning product, but touching it up with more paint can get dicey. Semi-gloss paint is best served by being used on trim because of its durability.
