Paco and Fireplaces

today I took Paco to the vet. He has been having issues but he is 13 years old at least... he is losing weight, blind in one eye, lethargic, pping on his bed at night, drinking water constantly and depressed. He doesn't wag his tail any more... Dr R just KNEW it was diabetes or kidney failure. It was neither. They did blood work and it came back perfect. WHAT??? So he is being treated for a UTI and hopefully he will start feeling better. But the blindness has left him confused and depressed. He can see with one eye pretty well... but he is just not the same. At least we don't have to put him down... I was sure we were headed that way.

Fixed my fireplace today. It was SO MUCH FUN. I decorated it w/ mom's galvanized pump from her backyard, great granddaddy's bible story book / i never met him /... a few things from HL and the rest from Goodwill, garage sales and gifts. FUN... 

I started on the classroom... I've already organized it once, but changed where the desk is sitting and just going to revamp the colors to be more simple. It's way too busy... 

Taught 3 classes this morning. It was good to get back to teaching. 

Went to Wally World... ugh... but I have to get protein bars there and found some other things for the office. At least they are a write off. 

Cleaned out the linen closet and loaded all the old blankets and sheets into the trunk of the car. OMgosh... why do we have all that stuff??? It's crammed in there. So, that's out and i will take it to GW or to the Animal Shelter. 

Finished the entry decor. I put my great granny's alarm clock out. It's so cute and still works... with the white flowers and a crock with lavender herbs in it. It's cute... I still have some more burlap runners to sew. THey are fun and simple and will tie things in together. I am quckly filling things up.. and I dont' want to get it busting at the seams. The garage still needs weeding out... but I have to clear out a top closet so that I can store old photo albums and memoriabilia that I won't let go of just yet... like my mom's bible that she carried when she married Dad... but I don't have a lot... just a few things here and there. 

Anna is coming on Friday. I am going to have her start on painting the kitchen. Yep... just going to dive right in. And then I will start looking at flooring. 

It's been a fun summer.
