OWWWWWWWW!

Well, my darling peeps, guess what?  Yep, ding ding ding!  You win the million dollar question!  I'm in so much pain my eyelashes hurt.  SHEEZ!   Yes, it is in part the horrid rainy weather in these thar hills but it is compounded by my having to drive 1 1/2 hours 1 way to see the dr., sit at said dr for 2 hours then another 1 1/2 hours drive back home.  It is times like this I KNOW I CAN'T WORK.   On my "pain evaluation", (don't you love the faces things with those blasted numbers for rating?) I wrote 5-7 on a "good day" the meds help.  Then notated at bottom on a bad day no amount of meds of any kind help the pain.  I know my dr (who I adore soooo much!) must do this to cover his butt with the authorities since it is pain meds, but come on...... really pain meds DO NOT STOP PAIN!  They may take the edge off so you don't go thru the roof if you're lucky but that's it. Oh, but I did do a funny.   What would a visit be without that?  Of course the proverbial poke & probe as this is a work comp thing, and he hit the worst vert in my neck which is around C4-6.  I screamed   and jumped out of my seat.  He replied, "Yep, I found it."  I shot him a look and said "Well, if you'da asked, I coulda told ya!"  He just smiled and said "Yes, but I have to be able to write 10+ for the pain factor report."  Oh goody.  So, I "passed" my test with flyin' colors.  And yes, I did see all the lovely colors of the rainbow   with that poke. ROFLOL  Really, he's the most wonderful doc anyone could ask for. I know he's truly an answer to prayer. OK, must run.  I have Daily Word to do, Ministerial Course, and the other stuff in my life.  Oh yeah, just soon as I take my meds and get the kids out to school. Love & hugs to you all, my dear peeps!

Isn\'t that 1-10 pain scale a ....well a pain? People in pain want a bigger number than 10 like maybe 1000?
Sorry you have been hurting so much. When it gets really bad I offer it up for someone else as redemptive prayer. Like I was being drilled on at the Dentist, and I offered it up for friend who has bone cancer. Hey , do you want my next root canal????

Nan - sounds like you is a good ole Catholic gal. I know the routine. Honey, if\'n my pain is offered up, I think Purgatory must be put near empty as we say here. ROFLOL Love & hugs
