Owl

I am becoming a night owl i think.

I was up again last night.  This time thinking about what I should do in the next few months.  I am 48.  The company i work at was bought by a couple in their 50s.  They will eventually sell the business off maybe in ten years...that will make me 58.

Trying to find a job at 58 will be hard.  Maybe going to New Jersey is the best option. Its hard.  Choices are less and decisions are harder to make.

Today ill get a drs appt.  Start with that first and move forward.

Near as I can tell, finding your own special niche in this world isn't any easier at 8 than 68, whether you are job hunting, entrepreneuring, therapy hunting, love hunting or hobby hunting. That hunt is always hard.

Personally, I believe ideal circumstances are made, not found. 10 years is plenty of time to do just that. What makes you so certain you will be the same ol' job hunter in 10 years time? I am not confident predicting tomorrow, much less next decade. I am often teased about needing my own carnival tent, but my future-telling skills are more limited than *I* want to plan on.

Or there is the business as usual in New Jersey. Can't argue with a classic. It got you this far.

On the "Night Owl/Day Person" note, the older I get, the less I understand daybreaker logic. Every day has 24 hours and every hour is special. When I get my sleep in depends entirely on where the action of the day is.

Arfie,

I don't play the lotto so I'm pretty sure Ill be working until I die. There is an option for me to start a life in NJ-but, I worry if something happens to the other party that I might be strapped with mortgage and I don't know anyone up there except for maybe 3 other people.
I got my doctors appt for next Fri. See how that goes and go from there.

My math is good enough to know that the vast majority of folks who play the lotto will be working and/or subsisting on government handouts until they die. It doesn't take much of a math whiz to run those odds and they are well publicized. I call lotto tickets, "Fool's Tax." I don't much like paying any more taxes than I have to.

Follow the healing mysteries on what is right for you. The healing mysteries usually talk to me through that proverbial gut instinct. In my personal certainty, the easier the out, the more likely it is to bite me in the ass down the road. The most sustainable way out is usually straight on through. I keep my head down and keep on stepping.
