Over a year has passed...

It has been over a year and a half since I left and it still feels like yesterday. How can you feel for someone that hurt you mentally and physically. My world as I knew it was gone in an instant. You think you know your partner and wow you find out no you don't. After all you have done for him and his family and hisĀ children you are the one that takes the hit. Why, I have have asked for along time and I found out it was not me it was him. I did nothing wrong but, why did he not go to jail? I did all the right things that I was told but, later found out alot of bad information. Wow, I thought the police are suppose to help in a domestic violence call with a gun. But, no! Not even when they found out he had over 14 guns in the house some registered some not. He was friends with the chief of police and he was a city official. My pleas were ignored and I was homeless with nowhere to go! Well, I have my own condo now and my family and I are doing well. What you put me and my family thru noone should ever endure, and when you meet karma I hope she holds no mercy on you.

I now have better insight of your situation. All I can say is, be very, very, glad you are now removed from there--go on with your life. Sometimes we are better off self-supporting and not relying on a man or anyone else, it can be empowering. Wishing you the best as you move forward in your life--we can never \"go back\" but what we can do is learn from our experiences and maybe even be grateful for the chance to have made that exit! Stay strong.
