Outragious sugar levels

I had a slip the other day and my sugar went up to 295 thats way to high remember i gotgot to take my nighttime meds i quickly grabbed a pen needle and took a shot of insulin.It went down. I wonder more n more if I should try the pump.Anyone having any feedback is always helpful...
