Out of it
I am having a lot of difficulty with the crossword puzzles on my net server these days. It's not that my command of the language has diminished either. (although I do have my "senior" moments") It's just that the puzzle is loaded with references to music artists, albums(excuse me,.. CDS), TV series and actors that I have never heard of. (Who is the former judge on America's Top Model?...What Hip Hop Artist released the hit "Mrs Officer"?...Huh?)
What happened to the questions about "The Rockford Files","The Mary Tyler Moore Show", or even "The Sopranos" if we need to get more contemporary? As for the musical scene, well I must admit my command of that venue ended somewhere around 1978.
If I'm to continue with my crossword puzzles I guess I'll have to hold my nose and watch some of the current TV fare aimed at the under 20 set. Soooooo....What station carries the "OC" anyway? Or is that out of date now too?

Don\'t feel too bad, I couldn\'t answer any of those either, and I\'m 46! Now I know how my mom felt when I was in high school and I\'d tell her about a current singer / song and she\'d have no idea what I was talking about. Hey, I remember the day I walked into Christian Supply some time in the 80s and all the albums were GONE off the shelves! I was in a panic! I couldn\'t afford the CDs at that time and I was devastated that I couldn\'t buy albums anymore. Reel to reel, 8-track, albums, CDs, DVDs, MP3s, what\'s next?
Hey, my dad had the ultimate senior moment: One time, when he couldn\'t remember something, he told a friend \"I\'m having one of those... what do you call them... when you can\'t remember what you want to say...\" He was having a senior moment over the term \'senior moment\'. :-) At least he can laugh about it, and remember that it happened! Or my aunt who couldn\'t remember that those little white flowers are called Forgetmenots! My mom about fell over laughing when she told my aunt the name. And my aunt knows a lot about flowers! Hmmm, thing are not boding well for me if my genes are that bad on both sides of the family... Now, what was I doing?
