Our voice
I'm still writing to our local politicians and journalists. I wonder why no one wants to get involved. with everything that's in the news and on tv, why isn't somebody listening to our cries for reform? It's a struggle, but today, I'm not giving up the fight.

your awesome
I don\'t Motherduck we all felt that way. It\'s not on the news or the talk shows or the investigative journalism. PBS is one of the few who had the courage even to make a documentary of it called \"Breaking The Silence The Childrens Stories\" this was funded by the Mary Kay Foundation. The Doc producers than spent a DOminick/lassiter spent sometime defending that this was not a biased thing they had only looked into it as a informational and that was what they found.
Thee silence is defending. In fact I just saw a link to youtube with the Attorney General for Illinois on it Lisa Madigan and one of the protective mothers had brought evidence and I think had a letter from a senator telling the protective mother to lobby to make a law and the mother was asking how the Att. Gen. was just ignoring her (something like that). On the video the Ill. Attorney General does not answer the protective mother only lets her talk an than tells her to be quiet or she would call security and have her removed. You know what the Ill. Att. Gen. never responds to the protective mother about anything reguarding this. At one time no one would even believe these mothers were being treated this way now at least thanks to youtube some of the way these officials are treating these protective parents can be loaded for the world to see so these officials can no longer say they haven\'t even heard about it. That is at least progress. That fix what they will not acknowledge! It is insane isn\'t it. We have to keep raising our voices up so others know what is being done in silence.Be Strong sweetie it is the only way we will ever be able to have any hope to save the children!
There are many things that defy common sense...clearly you are right, given the apparent deluge of sexual abuse,, one would think there would be be lots of programing...unfortunately it make people \"uncomfortable\" and that and the fact that despite all the flash and hype, we really aren\'t a child focused society...we avoid really looking at it....to begin preventing it, we must first understand the dynamics behind it. I think another reason is...we use sex to \"sell\" everything. Slowly but surely the media has sexualized children and journalists don\'t want to open that can of worms because it would effect them and the bottomline. Profits trump the safety of children. We need more people like you that keeps pressing the issue...you have a lot for which to be proud!
you are an amazing woman motherduck.....(hugs)
