Good morning everyone, I am a caregiver for my husband Steve. He has renal cell carcinoma, for 11 last years! For the last 7 years he has been stage 4. He has been on the drug Sutent for the last 3 years. He lost one kidney in 1998 and now has mets in the remaining kidney. Our doctor (notice how I say we) says that he is the longest patient at CMC in Charlotte NC to be on the drug Sutent. I want to join this forum to give hope to those who suffer with this enemy (cancer). It is a journey that we share together. You can learn to live with kidney cancer and I would be willing to share our story with those who need encouragement. Steve leaves the talking about cancer to me, he does the fighting. For now, I hope that all of you have having a good day, Remember that is all you can do. One day at a time.
