Our Pain

To each that responded to my last post and did not tell me I was wrong. How often we here those words or no words at all to let us let out our pain. Our lost. Each of your kind words were so appreciated.  Just got home from Florida. Weent to destin for a few days to relax then the baby came and we made our way to Daytona. Second time I have been there since I lost Ken. First let me say Kensi is a beauty with loads of black hair..so sweet and lovable. She talked to me the whole time I held her. I think Ken had sent messages through Kensi. They we re not like babies coo it was like she was really talking about her PaPa inHeaven...it might be confusing to you my friends who know this pain. But Ken lived in Daytona for several years before moving to AL. And his daughter Pam lives in their home there so it is not easy going there.  And Daytona is just not the same without my Ken there.  Many days were spent visiting him.  Going having lunch. And then waiting for him to get off for dinner and an evening of talking and sharing way before the cancer came. How I missed those days while being there. Not sure it will ever feel ok there but with Pam there there will be other visits and maybe it will be easier.   We did cut out trip short due to my husband mom being put in the hospital.  But we did have anice visit and seeing Morgan and Kensi and of course Pam made my visit. No matter where I go or where I am I carry Ken in my heart and always have those days that hurt more than others. Thank mom's for being with me in my last journal and knowing I needed to say what my heart was feeling. Much love to all of you..and to Ken my son whom I will love and miss until the day we are together again

Oh that must have been amazing feeling like Ken was talking to you through Kensi. Our grandchildren are our links to our children. I look at Jeff\'s two girls and see so much of him in each one of them. It is bitter sweet. I am glad that that you over all had a nice time. I know what you mean missing those visits with our sons. Really special times. How is your husband\'s Mom doing? Can you believe that my husband\'s Mom turned 93 this past Tuesday? We buried our Jeff on her 85th birthday. Wishing you a restful and peaceful week.

Hi Sandi, Is Kensi named after her PaPa Ken? I love the name! And I believe this little sweetie is speaking to you for Ken..precious.
It is wonderful to visit grandchildren and great grandchildren but it is bittersweet to know our sons should be there too. But you are right. Ken is with you, always. Much love, Linda

I loved hearing about your trip to Daytona...I am sure that Ken was talking to Kensi and she was trying to talk back. Even though it is hard to go back there, I am sure it will be worth it to see Kensi growing up. Love, Connie
