Our Old Age Children
I hardly ever come to Daily Strength any more... My own failing... No excuses... Not good or bad... just is...
Baby Girl always seemed okay with us being gone for awhile... so we did do some out and about... but Kobe is a Yorkie... and very dependent... He gets so anxious if we need to be away he gets sick... I talked to his vet and she gave me a prescription for Xanax... very low dose... didn't help... not even when I tried giving it to him like an hour in advance to give it time to kick in... so mostly... we stay home with the fur babies or if one of us needs the other to drive for an appointment... they come with... and while the one goes in to the dr. or whatever...the other waits in the SUV... and it's okay... We consider them our old age babies and love them very much... We got sick in December... I called my granddaughter to come get them... thinking we were both going to end up in the hospital... Richard refused said he was okay... he wasn't going... It was rough but we carried on best we could... I was doing much better... Richard... not so much... January 5th Richard ended up in the hospital... pneumonia... sigh... a couple of days and IV antibiotics and he got to come home...
I am worrying though... Richard was admitted to the hospital because his blood pressure was too high... too low... a bit of all over... Long story he'd done the prep for a colonoscopy... He had gotten a positive back following a fit kit test... hopefully a false positive... but it's worrisome... so then they hooked him up to prepare for a colonoscopy... and the blood pressure up/down indicated possible afib... and then they found the pneumonia... he was severely dehydrated... the doctors said odds were the whole episode was brought on by the colonoscopy prep... but they have to run tests... and so far... more worries... blockage... we go to the dr. Monday... and yes I'm sad, fearful, worried... I don't want to worry anyone so I came here to dump all that's going on... and to pray for mercy... Sometimes... that's all I can do.

I am so sorry to hear about Richard's health problems. It is very stressful, I know. And all this worrying could affect your health as well. Please take good care of yourself, dear Elissa!
I just got back on DS a few days ago, trying to navigate my way around this site. It is great to re-connect with my old friends again!
Please let me know how Richard is doing now. I will definitely keep you both in my prayers. And give your fur babies a hug from me. xoxo
Oh Andelene. It is good to hear from you. we got through everything... Richard finally got his colonoscopy done... There were a couple of polyps... had to remove and suture... they were benign so that is good news. I will have to go to your page and see your posts... Hugs and Prayers to you and yours Andelene.
