Our Halloween Party
hello everybody!
Our senior residence had its annual Halloween Party yesterday. As is traditional, we had a menu of hot apple cider, Brunswick stew, cornbread, and a mini-cupcake, plus a little goodie bag to take home!
Dressing in costume is optional, but as an incentive we have a contest. First, second, and third place prizes of gift cards to use at grocery store.
Several women came as witches, but one came as a pirate! She was almost unrecognizable! A married couple came as a clown (him) and a court jester (her). A black lady came as a calypso dancer.
Today, Tues., I went food shopping. A cool, crisp, sunny Autumn day. Welcome, November.

And who won the costume prize? My guess is the pirate! It sounds like a great time and I can almost hear all the laughter that must have filled the room. BTW - I love cornbread!
