Our Boston Trips!!
Just a little information about our Boston (tips)Trips together with my new buddys!!
Sharon (momjmc) Jason's mom (Chairperson for the Boston retreat) and another sweetheart and beautiful mom, Sharon (mx55mom) Kevin's mom, we got together once acouple months ago, at a restaurant basically to get aquainted with one another..Then planned to get together for a trail run in Boston !!!!
3 or 4 weeks ago we got together and met at Sharons (momjmc) Jason's mom's house, she lives on the west side of Boston, down the road from the T... This time we had a new sweet mom Laura (MichaelsMom21) with us Sharon (mx55mom) Kevin's mom, she is laid back and goes with the flow, love her. It was funny Laura said to us before we went on the T, she said I thought KellyLee105 was coming with us, LOL!! We all said she is right here, haha, my hair is back to brown again, she was looking for a blonde, we all laughed, I told her I change my hair quite often..You never know what i'm going to look like, lol
Ok Sharon showed us the ropes, so to speak, we took the T to South Station where the "Westin" Boston Harbor Hotel is, we walked up the stairs looked up and there it was right in front of our eyes, "WESTIN" across the street from the Hotel there is a sign that says "Logan Airport" SO when you arrive at Logan airport ASK where you get to the (SILVER LINE "T") To "South Station" It is simple if you ask, it makes things so much easier, everthing will fall into place, it does, its like our children guiding us all the way... Incredible stuff happens with feelings of US All knowing one another as if we were friends all along, especially the day of the mini retreat at the cape with "Joan Anderson" on Saturday..Our Sweet Joanie (Livingjuicy) Douglas mom rearranged this with her..I love my Joanie, everyone thinks of this awesome woman of theirJoanie, I like to say my Joanie, I just love her to pieces, she is the most gentle loving soft spoken lady I ever met!!! She is a born a peacemaker, her son Doug was/IS the way she is, I see it and feel it!!
Anyway the 4 of us had a great time, the day was beautiful, we walked the harbor walkways, make sure you wear your walking shoes..Really important lots of rasied cobble stone, brick sidewalks,da da da da da da!!! We walked to a seafood restaurant "The Barking Crab" Restaurant.. The seafood was really really good, but we decided there wasn't anything but seafood. We walked to fanuail hall and by then We were tired, we walked alittle more I think we walked alittle bit by the Boston Common. By that time we decided to go back again and do a few of the things so we have a better Idea for to be certain of...Lots to do, but we are having fun doing it..........Can't wait to meet all the new moms, I'm so excited I just can't hide it! da da da, HAHAHA!!! Oh By the way I'm the wild and crazy one... Actually only when I get to know you, at first I am SHY!!!Really Really!! I guess it is from being a wild and crazy hairstylist!!
NOW before all 3 of us moms went to Boston together Lan my bf and I made a trial run, We drove to Boston and visited the hotel and got some info, checking things out we walked from the hotel to get lunch a Tia"s Restaurant right where the piers are to the marina where we get tickets for a Harbor cruise, Daytime cruise, Sunset cruise, Whale watch cruise, Duck Boat Tour, tell us the History of the Boston Harbor as well as driving out of the water and gives us a tour and history of the City of Boston..The duck tour would be the most reasonable price wise, cuz I know the cost of things especially after spending money on the flight ticket..This year worked out well for me cuz I wasn't going this year, cuz of expense with household stuff breaking down and dental work, lol God works in mysterious ways!!! For now I have to go...
SO anyway, I can't wait to GO again with my new FMO buddies!!! lets plan it!!!!!

Sounds like you girls saw a lot and got a good feel for what\'s to come. It helps so much having some moms close enough to check things out before the retreat, so THANK YOU!
The Duck Boat Tour sounds like the one we did in San Diego....we drove through the town on this BIG \"something\" and then drove right into the ocean and it became a boat! It was awesome!
Joanie and I have concluded we are all in for whatever the majority wants to do during our free time! Hoping too to find some quiet time to just sit, relax, and talk to everyone.
And I\'m with you on the hair thing....a month ago I was all \"rainbowed up\"...then I went an orangy blonde, today I\'m a \"normal\" brunette! By retreat time, who knows! Angela will be all PINK! Can\'t wait to see her!

I am really looking forward to meeting all of you!!!You kept me going and still do....I am letting my hair grow used to wear it really short..now it is collar length...soo...I am hoping for a Peaceful fun time!
I hear you Kelly, I decided my needed dental work is just going to have to wait until after the retreat and my cruise next spring. I feel at age 65 I need the trip more than good teeth because who knows how long I\'ll be able to travel. Maybe a very long time, but maybe not.
Thanks for the info on SILVER LINE \"T\" line. I\'m going to write that down because I\'ll never remember it.

I\'m so excited for the Boston retreat! Thanks to you moms who went to check out the area & for giving us some info. My husband & i went to Boston last year on vacation & absolutely loved it. The city is beautiful as is Cape Cod. We said then, that we wanted to return there again, little did we know it would be this soon, but couldn\'t be happier. Remembering the feeling I got from that area lets me know it will be an ideal place for our retreat. Just thinking about meeting you moms in person makes me want to come that much more!
