oregon, right to die state//have a cold and grouchy//4 people i know died recently up north grrrr
i'm looking for the article about brittany maynard who is 29 and has brain cancer and moved to oregon to die. she is trying to get the die with dignity law put through nationwide. her point is that not everyone can do what she did, and just get up and move to oregon. 3 states have a right to die law, oregon was the first 14 years ago. hope i find it.
a person could also just take a bottle of sleeping pills, and go swimming in the ocean at night, that would also do them in, i've always thought it was a good idea, rather than suffering. she says her disease would make her suffer etc.
having a very odd week. i discovered 4 more people i know died. i heard about one of them, who was a brother of an ex from junior high. very sad. i went to look it up and discovered, the younger brother is also gone. then i discover another obit, recent of the older brother of stepsister's boyfriend from highschool died and it has all the stuff of him owning a deli for the passed 35 years. then i read onward and discover in 2011, another of the guys we went to junior high school with. if i said this to my friend's mother i already know her pat answer (she is a nurse) she will say, get used to it. but its still jarring and i know me, and i'll be in a sort of shock/depression for the next two weeks. i'm in a bad mood anyway because of this cold/flu whatever it is, and i realized there was a third person ill, so really not surprised i got sick. alex, n and n from work. grrrrr.
k had surgery for the squamous cells on his neck and it looks BAD. they said he's okay, but there is bruising in the front of his neck and something else on the side of the neck where it was removed. he has been battling skin cancer for several years and it never looks like that, though all the other ones were basil. he seems fine though. he had c at the other house painting and he cleaned out the master bath and started working on the brass lamps i brought over from storage, (they are really nice when all shined up. he is worried about the declawed cat bean, because he is so subdued. he is declawed and around age ten i think. very nice. he may need special attention if his owner died, poor thing. i put ads out and no response yet.
the other declawed that came in the relatives signed a waiver to euthanize. how nice. you give your cat to a relative because you are a senior and you are sick and the relative signs it off to be killed even though its only five years old. wth? so i'll put an ad for that at assisted living. they always wanted them and its mandatory declaw at places like that.
the kittens are fine and should be adopted. a couple of them are shy, so however that goes. rn has the super little ones and i gave her formula for those. i think she is ill as well, because she isn't following a conversation lately. really weird. the baby she was supposed to be babysitting is going to daycare instead and i think she wanted the income. hmmmm. how about put out an ad? lots of people need cheap daycare for infants. she can't do older kids because she can't lift them. she has back injuries.
also noticed the other striped one has trouble with balance that its brother did as well, even younger. wonder if its from pronyl (frontline) its possible bad reaction? or maybe needs worming. odd though as all the others are fine. super busy at work and i'm trying to plan weeks off and car hunt and all that. they recommend new orleans in september next year. they also haven't fixed the spa at our main time share, the sauna has been down for seven months. wth? we had been looking into a cruise. i talked to the new guy that they claim won't work out and he says all is fine. no idea. people can say anything about anyone, doesn't mean its true, so i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that all is fine. hope it is.
