Oral surgery
Calming faith is all I am expecting of myself today. Thankfully, I don't even need to worry about navigating traffic. My ride will show up at noon and I will simply climb in and go with the flow I have been setting up since Spring. The flow I have known was coming since the oral damage of childhood neglect was stabilized back in the 70s.
Still, I am blown away by the gap between knowing it is coming and knowing it is here. What a difference a single word can make in a sentence structure.
Deep, calming breaths. Focus on the goal and not the task. God willing, this will be the last surgery I will have in my life.

Hi Arfie! I hope you are recovering smoothly from your oral surgery! I very much enjoy reading your posts and just now enjoyed reading a few of your journal entries. Thanks for being you and for sharing your journey on DS. Rosie
