Onward III
The file folder of parent pictures I managed to cobble together yesterday pleased the 2 older children tremendously. Their favorite was a Kiss-the-Bride picture from their wedding. I am thinking to blow that one up to 8x10 and place it in the center of a wall display of 4x6 frames. We see what grows.
Bedtime went smoothly last night and this morning's wake up is right on time so far this morning. Neither too early nor too late. Of course, that is only the advance guard (me), but the attitude of the advance guard sets the tone for the day. Sometimes. . . Still, the sleep tones in the house are feeling smooth and contented.
I was able to get through the therapy song for this not-so-merry-go-round without breaking down yesterday. Hubs and I managed to sneak in some rest for ourselves during yesterday's chill rain while the girls napped. Hubs is still on leave of absence from his salaried position, but his Fall honey harvest is underway, solo style. After the fiasco of the Spring harvest, he seems reluctant to ask for help with the labor aspects. That June fiasco feels like it is still going, so I am feeling similarwise, but still concerned about the accumulated labor. There is considerable labor involved in lifting those honey-filled boxes off the hives, extracting and bottling the honey, then putting them into storage for the winter. Still, that is his to sort. For now, Big Sis is thrilled that her campaign to get us back into the honey barn was successful to the point that she gets ". . .to go to work with Gampy" extracting the honey a little bit at a time. I have often wondered if the current traditions wait entirely too long to introduce children to the mysteries of "work" while the 24/7 domestic labors of love are called, "Not Working." I's just a bum with a toilet cleaning hobby.
Anyhoo. . . I ain't saying ^it^ too loud, but I believe we have arrived at, "Not Worse."

I am glad you are getting some rest and peace. I love the fact the children are in the middle of turkey love and honey bear place. It will most certainly help with what they've been going thru losing their parents. I am a firm believer that if you want something done right, you must do it yourself. Continued prayers and peace Arfie.
Just speaking for myself, arriving at "not worse" is real progress in these ordeals, arfie, real welcome progress. So glad it came to pass for you now. That idea of blowing up the kiss the bride photo for the kids sounds like a good thing to do for them for sure, and maybe for yourself to commemorate this "not worse" moment, too.
Your mention of Warren Zevon's song "Keep Me In Your Heart For A While" sent me back to a song that got me through a horror show of grief a few years back. The guitarist in Bob Dylan's current touring band wrote it, "Everyone Will Crawl." By the title it sounds gloomy, no question, but it turns really inspiring--at least it was for me. Just in case it might, here it is. If not, that's ok, too. Thinking of you today.

Prayers for All's Highest Good
I'm so glad that you've had a peaceful morn Arf……. The honey sounds divine.... Yummy..... I hope that the good day will continue.... Gentle hug and a blessing....xo
Thanks guys. For today we are trying to hammer through the next set of details for the housing upgrade. Prayers in progress. It sure would be dandy to be have rooms to keep the baby bottles separate from nasal pot. A toilet that doesn't feel like it's going to fall through the floor would be dandy, too.
I'm listening to the Charlie Sexton tune now, Muji. The rhythms and tones are a bit rough for my frayed nerves just now, but it's kinda tough to get gloomier than the death of a beloved son and the inheritance of 3 orphans alongside of the son's lawyer-loving in-laws.
Crawling. . .
Arfie, not worse is a good place to be. Its amazing what occurs in life simply because it has to, isnt it. I think kids love work, that sense of accomplishment, especially before they are old enough to associate it with compensation. Thats how i could always tell when my nieces and nephews were ready to leave the auntie nest for the peer nest, lol, as soon as they figured out to ask for something for doing something. Triple hugs of continued support and prayers
