Oneday

Dearest,
It’s cold again! Damn cold! Like in the teens. I’m tired of this, if you were here we’d be off to the Caribbean. I was chatting with Dan, Dan the preacher man. He seems to share your hypothesis that people outside of organizations are basically good. I, of course, disagreed. Even if they want to be good people they don’t want to be too good or too often.
Snow! They are predicting 4” – 8” by tomorrow afternoon, imagine that! That never happens!
I’m having a helluva time keeping up with all the chores around here. It seems I spend nearly all day doing chores. How does so much get so dirty so fast? It’s just me for crying out loud! I can’t get that much dirty.
Someone asked me how I could have a sense of humor left after all the crap that’s happened. I told them that it’s a choice. You get to chose how you deal with all the crap. You don’t get to chose what crap up with which you must put. (HA!) You do however get to chose how you deal with it. I, as you know, get angry and yell, then I try to find a funny side to it. Let’s face it, there’s always something funny going on. I could sit around and mope but what fun is that? I’d rather try to look at the funny side and try to find a little happiness, if only for the moment. Some folks would rather sit around and be miserable, and that’s fine, whatever makes them happy.
(I crack myself up)
Everybody is fine, people still ask after you. I weather-stripped your office window, you didn’t want me to, remember? I guess it doesn’t matter now. I’m going to return to the dream that I was dreaming.
Till the snow stops falling and the wind stops blowing,
Your Ken

Ken, I don\'t know if this will help, or you can just tell me to go to hell. We are having the best weather here. I went to the coast of Mississippi, to a casino, and it was foggy, but in the 70s. I came home and walked the dog around the neighborhood. I wish it would stay like this forever. Little windy, but that\'s ok. Are you a neat freak? I wash dishes, maybe twice a week. I rinse everything I use. I do have to sweep a couple of times, because of the dog\'s hair. I have to admit, I don\'t dust too much.
Wishing you spring weather, or a getaway to a warmer place. Keep finding the humor in the crap.

Ken,
It has turned cold here again too and can you believe it? Snow tonight - just 1 to 3 inches with a lovely glaze of ice. Just when I thought the ice age had passed.
About that humor thing. Gallows humor, laughter, honest to goodness sarcasm.. whatever - it\'s what gets me through the day. My husband was the master of puns and I do miss that - so now I just make up my own things to laugh at. Of course some would say that can get you committed but we are already committed in a metaphorical way.

Ken, we are getting hit bad here as well, the roads are so slippery but should end today. I love your sense of humour and your out look on life. Life has dealt us some sh... but how you are dealing with all of this inspires me to try harder. You are so right, laughter is so much better than sadness. Hugs

Ha ha, I know what you mean. I do not know how my house gets so dirty either. I am a clean person, but there is clutter all over the place. Once I start and think i am done, I need to start all over again. It is annoying. I am sorry you are surrounded by snow. Maybe you should go on a trip...i am and it gives me soemthing to look forward to. I agree, life gives you a lot of crap, but a sense of humor gets us all through it. My grandma is the opposite, she is they type that likes to stay miserable, however, she inspires me everyday of what i do NOT want to become. Laughter is the best medicine :) Thank you for your journal entries, they do brighten up my day:) Sending you a hug,

Ken, yes, the weather is miserable, we had a few days that were in the high 60\'s and it was so lovey and now we are going to get 2- 4 inches of snow. Good God, all my fruit trees have buds already, I hope that this dosn\'t kill them off. I do want to let you know that your journal entries are something that I look forward to reading. I find that your humor can improve my day for me. I guess I feel that if you can look at things and find the funny side, that I can too. I hope that you survive the snow storm that is coming, I am hoping that it is the last for the year, and that spring is just around the cornor. Have a good week, and I was glad to hear that you found another sugar bowl. Little things, just little things. Hugs Jane

Hi Ken...have to agree the weather everywhere seems miserable, know what you mean about cleaning, it\'s just me and 3 dogs so have to sweep the floors to get their hairs picked up but it seems like it doesn\'t do any good, still have dog hair on my clothes at times....dust is taking over everything even though I just dusted it all....I\'m looking forward to spring, but not summer...here it\'s too humid that\'s when I start looking forward to fall and winter....vicious circle...lol...take it easy and keep writing...hugs Sandi
