Oneday

Dearest,
Oh, what a sad day. I cried on and off all day. I am barely keeping it together now. I have to keep stopping. Lydia and Halina were here all day. They wanted to look at pictures, visit the cemetery, and talk about you. All I've done all day is think about you, miss you and cry. I thought talking about old times, happy times would make me feel better, not so. waves of sadness. Big giant tidal waves. You and Lydia had been friends for 20 years? I didn't know that. I keep pacing around, can't sit still, trying to get away from the pain I guess. Lydia said you would be worried about me, of course she's right. She asked, after reviewing the instructions that you left for me, if you'd left me any instructions on what to do with my life. Then she said "Well, she should have!" Halina was very understanding, she's lost a few good friends apparently and was there at their end.
This is so hard! I wish this song had a chorus so I could catch my breath, but there's no chorus. I'm feeling like I can't breath again. Once upon a time I was falling in love, now I'm only falling apart.
They brought me news from Europe and some German chocolates. Not all the news is good. Life just keeps getting sadder and sadder. If this is what getting old is all about I don't want to do it. How did Phil survive it all?
The cemetery road wasn't plowed and, at one spot, I had to drive through a three foot drift. The truck went right through it. I guess it was good that I bought the new tires in July. I never would have if I thought you would get sick again in August. That's about all I can type today. I sure hope tomorrow is better. Dear, what should I do? I'm so lost.
Sadly, Your Ken
This was "our" song during the last year of Abby's life, we used to sing it to each other, I sang it for her in her last week, it always made me cry. Oddly, today, it made me feel better.

Ken,
I wish someone had left me an instruction book because I could certainly use it. If you happen upon one please forward it to me.

Ken, I am sorry that the visit stired up so much pain for you. It seems that things just seem to calm down and then the sore gets ripped open and has to start to heal again. You guys have good taste in songs, Donovan one of my favorites along with the Moody Blues. Speak to the heart and soul of things. Wishing you peace Jane

Ken, I don\'t know what it was about Sunday but I cried all day too. Just when we think we are doing better something steps in to prove us wrong. I know we are getting better but it is so hard. Peace and blessings to you. Diane
