Oneday

Dearest,
Well I cleaned all the ice off of the front walk. The squirrel wars have begun!! I don’t know if I’ll have time to write you in the future, will be too busy fighting the squirrel. As soon as I put that bell out today he chewed the loop off of it. I ran out and rescued it, in my stocking feet, three feet of snow, remember? I replaced the loop with some wire and coated the bell generously with cayenne pepper. I hope he gets a big mouthful! There is so much paperwork!  I worked on it for four hours today and I’m still not done. It’s not even tax time yet, though the statements are beginning to arrive. I have no idea what to do about your taxes. Judging by the levels of incompetence that I’ve encountered thus far no one else will either. After all, no one ever died before. Soon I’ll do the last load of laundry, you would laugh to see how I do it. I load the machine and start it, then I stand in front of the washer and strip, throwing everything in, then pitter patter into the bedroom to find clothes, and more clothes, and more clothes.
Was watching Casa Blanca today, had a strange reaction to it, for the first time that movie made me cry, there’s a real sadness to it that I guess I used to miss. We’ll always have Paris, well Tobago anyway. I wish I still had you to play Bacall to my Bogart. I have no idea where you bought that sugar bowl, checked all the usual suspects. Send me a clue, a bill, an ad, anything. Not much else going on today.
Here’s looking at you kid, Your Ken
