One-Year Anniversary

Today marks the one year anniversary of the rape, and I am having a difficult time.  Earlier today I was angry and projecting my anger out on everyone around me, and now I am sad.  I just started to cry in the middle of writing this sentence for a few minutes.  I hate how I feel, but I know it is normal.  I am trying not to dwell on it, but the pain is so surreal.  It will be nice to get away tonight to one of my friends' place because I need better memories than what happened a last year.  We are probably going to watch a movie, eat, clean, or whatever needs to be done, I guess, basically have a girls night out.  I need it. It will be nice to go to Manhattan, KS for an opportunity to attend a Theology Conference this weekend on Friday and Saturday; however, I am taking one extra day to myself to spend time with those I love, and to do homework too, or I will get majorly behind.  I just need to get away.  Know what I mean? I am practically working all day tomorrow, at the church with a split shift, and then for babysitting too.  I plan on packing up afterwards, but I sure hope I can get a lot done. I will let you know how everything goes.  Thankfully my papers for school are due by next Wednesday.  Praise God for that.  There is also a possibility for having a regular second job in my field working at Perfect Peace Christian Stores, so the CNA job will probably end up being once a week or once a month at that point, if that should be the case. Please continue to be in prayer for my recovery, and for the second job in my field.  Thank you.

I\'m so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. I know the flashbacks and memories are very difficult to face. It is hard for me to even use the \"r\" word when it comes to my ex raping me and it angers me to know that you have gone through this too.

I will pray that God helps you through this. Bless you sister, you deserve so much in your life. You deserve to be free from this pain.

The Lord is your refuge! Which I know that you know this. But there are times we just to be reminded.
God Bless and keeping looking up!

Wow! You just brought back a memory. I was stationed at Ft. Riley in Oct. and Nov. of 1966. I went to Manhattan Ks. a few times, and about all there was back then was a bus station. :-) That was 42 years ago!!!!!!
Love In Christ,
