One Year Anniversary
Hello DS Family, Since it was been awhile since I have posted in my journal. I do have a lot to talk about. First of all, I was just looking at my DS profile the other day and I noticed that it has been a year already since I first became a member of the site. Wow!! Where does the time go? I have to say honestly that since I have become a member of this awesome site I have really grown as a person and I am learning to be an advocate for my own physical and mental health. All I can say to all of you awesome people is thank you for always being there for me; here is to my second year at DS.
In other news, my brother and his girlfriend have finally moved out and into their own place; I can't tell you all how much this has lowered my stress level and my anxiety level. With my brother being an Alcoholic; I like him better when he lives some place else.
Mother's Day was wonderful for my mom; we all went out for a Mother's Day brunch. Me and my brother split our money and bought my mom a dozen red roses and an at home spa kit. Mom really loved the gifts; so all in all it was a great day.

Thanks to all of you for the support. Linda, I just want to find a church where I am welcomed. This one time I went to a church where everyone was staring at me and giving me looks like I did not belong in their church; I just felt very uncomfortable being there.
Oh you have such a caring disposition :) I\'m glad you were able to spend Mother\'s Day with your mom, and that you have your place back to yourself.
I live in my own little place with my dog. Do you have animals?

I smiled at your remark about your brother. I also have family members whom I can only love over a distance, but definitely not under the same roof. You really made Mother\'s Day so special for you mom!! You truly have a beautiful heart, my friend.
I have a daughter who is an alcoholic so I know what you mean. It is so sad to see them ruin their lives! I am happy for YOU that your brother is gone from your home. Keep us posted!
