One year ago tonight...

Today is the one year anniversary of my daughter's passing on November 27, 2007. I have thought about her every day since we lost her to cancer. This has been a difficult year and I am not the same person I was. My life has changed forever. My granddaughter Jessina and I went to visit Libra's grave today. We talked about last Thanksgiving, which was five days before she passed. Jessina made a wonderful dinner, and Libra said it was the best Thanksgiving she had ever had, although she only ate a spoonful of mashed potatoes. The following evening was the last time she was able to speak. She asked if she had a stroke, why couldn't she walk or talk as before. I replied that she was just getting weaker, she didn't have a stroke. The next morning she was non-responsive, and stayed that way until she passed. I am so thankful that I had Libra in my life. She was so appreciative of even the small things I did. I cherish the many letters she wrote me expressing her love and appreciation. She will always be in my heart and thoughts. Libra's Memorial page:   http://www.johnbaxter.com/libra/
