One Year 5/8/09
Yesterday marked as one year since my what could have been a fatal accident so I guess you could call it a near death experience. I really wish I had gone to either the nurse or my guidance counselor after it happened. I would probably not have my shoulder as messed up as it is now (I have multi directional instability and it's too fucked up for surgery to even help a lil bit) and I wouldn't be mentally damaged. That day haunts me. I really want to go back to that school and tell the guidance counselor what happened. The teacher that was there who was in charge when it happened told me not to tell anyone and didn't want me to go to the nurse even though I was shaking like a leaf and in complete shock just because she and an other student didn't want to get into any trouble. I want to get the guts to do it. but I don't know if I can. it's been haunting me ever since it happened

what exactly happened, if you don\'t mind me asking?
sometimes knowing the nature of the incident makes it easier to decide if you should tell someone.
But, even just given how you feel so affected by it, it seems like a good idea to tell someone. But sleep on it, pray about it, weigh the pros and cons. What it should come down to is your progress forward, and your ultimate happiness and closure.
Best of luck :-)
I was up in the catwalk at school helping a friend with some lights when one leg fell thru and i caught myself just in time with my arms. i was in a lot of pain, shaking like crazy and in total shock from that. the teacher and an other student there told me not to tell anyone or go to the nurse because they didn\'t want to get into trouble. even if a student would ask me in class what happened to my shoulder the teacher would give me a glare because she doesnt want anyone knowing. i went 6 months without getting my shoulder checked out and when i finally got an xray we found out it had been dislocated. I would like to tell someone so that they know what is going on at that school and so this doesn\'t happen to an other student again. i don\'t want them going thru what I\'ve gone thru
