ONE WORD
On an e-mail blog I subscribe to it made mention of a book called "My One Word" where you choose one word to focus on for the entire year. (This is a Christian based book - written by the Pastor of a church that has been doing this for a few years now.)
I downloaded it on my Nook last night and spent the day in bed in my flannel jammies with the curtains drawn open on my french doors & a great view of my back yard on a sunny winter day. I read, I wrote (& wrote & wrote...), and then explored their website: myoneword.org .
I think I have come up with my word for the year, but will continue to pray on it and let it digest (as suggested in the book) before I commit to my word.
I am so looking forward to the year ahead and just what it might bring! I already know I have some major decisions to make. And, as much as I have not intended to do it, I have realized that I have let PD limit me in committing to do certain things for fear it will be a bad PD day and I will be too drained to participate (or will DRAG thru it). It may be true that continuing to work in a highly stressful job has taken a toll on my health and increased my progression of PD symptoms, but NO MORE automatic "no" answers. I'm learning to adapt to PD - so there are ways to do more of what I want to do "my way".
Yep! 2013 is already being set up for good things happening for this girl...and, I pray the same for all of you within this group!!!
