One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
Well, I was very excited and happy for a good part of the day. I got my leg and wore it for about 4 hours. When I took it off and removed the gel sleeve there was a lovely blister the size of a small egg right on the tip of my stump. I called my prosthetist and he told me I would have to wait until it drained, scabbed and healed again before I could put my leg back on. Oh the joy . . . I'm really bummed. I stood on my own, walked several feet and used the bathroom with both feet on the floor while doing it. That's all I've got to say, oh except I found out that I'm severely anemic. That is the word the nurse used 'severely'. That explains those annoying little dizzy spells. I may sound a little negative, but once I've vented I start coming back to my old self. Thanks for listening and I hope all is well with you guys.
