One Step at a Time
I am so grateful that last night was better than the night before and that I've been doing a little at a time. It should not be so hard, but I am making a little step at a time in the forward direction. My car has been showing an oil light occasionally so I finally took it to get the oil changed. I was, of course, given the upsale but I refused to buy new tires, get any flushes or any of that. I cannot afford $600+ of car repairs. I used a coupon to get my oil changed for goodness sake! LOL (and it was still $6 more than on the coupon with all of the fees)
I also have been attempting to approach my son with love. I Do love to go into his room in the morning and snuggle in his bed with him. He's been very resistant to me and following directions from me. Thankfully he is listening to his teachers and therapists.
I've been trying to communicate more with my hubby and express my appreciation for how much he does for me and our family. Even tonight he's at work and it's almost 8pm, and he's been there since about 5am.
It will be a busy weekend, I'm sure. I hope I can keep my brain engaged in what is going on and not tune out. I really want to be HERE with our family.
One step at a time. It is going to be okay. I'm not in that pain that I was in a few weeks ago. I think I have to rely on the heating pad, deep breathing, and so forth, so that I can get through this.
I weighed myself this morning with my pajamas on. I'm down 16 pounds from what I weighed when I went to the doctor at 3pm on Dec 31st. A big part of it is just not wanting to eat. I had one piece of pizza tonight with the kids for dinner and now I'm having a couple of bites of chicken breast. The carbs are not good for me and I know it, so I have to go for the protein. If I could sit and eat ice all day, I would. I just know that it's not good for my teeth. :-)
Tonight I will enjoy some of the shows that I have recorded this week. I also hope that I will find shows that are more positive, less killing and such. I don't want to see anxiety producing shows if I can help it.

Sometimes it is one moment at a time. I found my overall pain levels went down after eating a gluten free diet. I am now gluten free for nearly 2 years and can\'t imagine eating it again. I am now thinking of food as a medicine. I wish you a wonderful weekend!
Thank you so much!! :-) I hope you have a wonderful weekend too!
