One of those days
I say that a lot it seems, today is just one of those days. For anyone who has something going on in their life, people realize what it means without explanation. It's just a reluctant acceptance of the way life is for you in general and how the day is going to play out. Today IS one of those days for me. I woke up in quite a bit of pain and just wanted to go back to sleep. It would better to sleep through it then to get up and try to face it. I know, not really, but it's easier to deal when you are unconscious. I laid in bed for a little while after I should have gotten up. Then Will came out of the bathroom and seemed frustrated that I hadn't disarmed the alarm and let the dogs out. So I got up. I can't blame him. Regardless of how I feel, life goes on and it is what it is.
On another somewhat good note, my plan with the Tramadol seems to have worked. I've had a few days where I needed it (and I feel today will be one). I was able to take one, then a half of one for a couple doses after that and I was okay, if still a bit foggy. The only time I had a hiccup was this past Tuesday. I didn't take anything even though the pain was bad because I had to take 3 of the kids to basketball practice and watch the other- whose practice is actually tonight- and I needed to be clear headed. When I got home it took 1 1/2 Tramadol to ease the pain. And it was several hours and another Tramadol later when I actually felt "normal". Normal for me. (Normal with RA means the pain is down to a level you can ignore but not gone.) Will also had a nice warm bubble bath waiting for me when we got home.
Today is one of my son's birthdays. He's 10 today! So I've got to pull myself together and get to cake-making.
