One more scan to go

Hello DS ladies,
I hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine consisted of cleaning the house, hanging with some family and getting much needed rest yesterday. I even took a three hour nap and woke up at 6:00pm yesterday confused about where I was...haha...now THAT was amazing sleep.
Anyway, I went to the doc today for a scan, it was actually supposed to be my last scan since my retrieval date was scheduled for Thursday. Good news is that I have 12 follicles (6 on each ovary) with most measuring between 17 and 19, and a few at 12 and 14. They will have me on two more days of injections, then last scan on Wednesday and retrieval probably on Friday or Saturday. I'm hoping these two more days get my follies at 20 and higher so that they are nice and ready. I'm really excited and I'm nervous at the same time. I'm excited that this is really happening but I'm nervous that I will go through all of this trouble and it not work. I have so much on the table with this that I don't think I will be able to handle the pain if it doesn't take. Then depending on how the embryos look, DH and I have to make the decision to put in one or two embryos, most likely two, but then I am kinda scared to have twins, scared that it might be too hard. But then I really want a family so bad! Aghhh so much to think about!
Thank you to those of you who read this babbling! I'm so ready to get this going!

So glad things are progressing well for you!! I hope those two extra days of stims help out and grow those follies :). Try to focus on the positive and not get wrapped up in what you will do if this doesn\'t work (easier said than done, I know). I\'m so excited for you!!

YAY!! I actually like the idea of having the extra days, it\'ll make sure you have the max amount ready for retrieval. And i know how you feel on the decisions of how many to put back. It can really take over your entire day with thinking about it!! I still panic at how hard twins can be, but I look around, and realize that where there is a will, there is a way, and with me, i might not get a chance to do this ever again, so i\'ll take it. Plus DH loves all the attention he gets when people find out there\'s 2 in there instead of one. It\'s fun to watch him really glow! Good luck and I can\'t wait to hear how it all goes down!

Ahhhh! So exciting that this cycle has turned around for you! You should talk to your dr about the probability of twins. I can\'t remember the #s we went over ahead of time. Previously we put two in and got 1 (ended in MC) and the second time we had BFN. We had lower quality so we put in 3 and got 2 out of it! You might want to see what the quality of the embryos are to decide on 1 or 2 to put back in and ask for your dr\'s input based on how they are looking. If you\'ve got great blasts they might agree 1 will be sufficient. GOOD LUCK!!!! :)

Exciting up-date, glad things are moving along! I know it is a scary process and the fear of it not working can get the better of you but you have come this far so stay the course and hope for the best!! XO

Yay! I knew things would look better the longer you stimmed. Glad they are giving you two more days. I know they will all be above 20 by then. Can not wait to hear about your scan tomorrow!
