One day will come

When I lost my leg back in 2007 and the doctor told me it would be the fastest way back to a normal life, well I am still waiting for that day to come.
I put off so much in the last few years in hope that it will get eayser to do them and that day has not come.
I was told that the pain will get better as you go a long ok it has gotten better, but not to the point I would like it to be at, and that day has not come.
Today is trash day and recy I did get all of cardboard to together and put it out to the curb and the trash to, so that day has come. I had a year worth of cardboard just laying aroung my basement. That a step in the right dirction, to get to that today.
The next big thing I would like to get done is to clean out my closet to much junk in there that I don't need anymore, one day that will come I hope, maybe that would be a good winter task.
The top of my garage need a good once over, there is alot of junk up there that need to be taken down and gone through ethier trashing it or giving it away, maybe next spring before our big spring clean up in our city, or maybe I will wait until it will be easyer for me to do.

Until the right day comes

As hard as it is...positive thinking and finding a great prosthetist is what can help get you back on your path to continue your lifes adventures the way you want to...

I have a list that is long as I am tall of all the thing that I am still able to do.

Only a very short list of stuff that I am not able to do, or just don\'t have an interest in doing then anymore. Like running, jumping, standing on my left foot, walking a stright line.

Beforethe accident everything came to me easy, now I have to stop and think before I do, and that what get to me every time.

I hear where you are coming from. Sometimes just everyday things that most take for granted have become struggles. Since I am not able to wear my prosthesis, I am in a wheel chair and doing things like taking thne trash out and recycling takes three times the effort and time. We moved to a new house before my surgery and I have a basement storage area that is just packed and needs to be cleaned out. We have put in a stair lift so I can get up and down the basement stairs, but it is still difficult to reach and lift things and I want to be as independent as I can. I did clean my clothes closet and got rid of all my dress clothes and shoes that I used to wear to my job before the amputation. It was hard to see them go, as it was really a 25 year part of my life that I was giving up. But I am trying to see this as a new chapter that has not been written yet and the pages are blank and I have to determine how the pages are recorded. I am sorry for going on so long, but I hear where you are at. Take care and may you be blessed in the future.
