Once in a Blue Moon
OK, this is a rerun of an old journal entry...not word for word, but the same message.
A blue moon has absolutely nothing to do with how many full moons occur in a month. People who say it does are just perpetuating a totally bogus story that first appeared in a discussion in Astronomy magazine back in the 1960's.
The term blue moon has been around for a very long time. When I was young, everyone knew that it was a total eclipse of the moon...anyone who finished grammar school knew that.
Eclipses of the moon are no longer blue because the atmosphere of the entire planet is polluted from industrial activity. The pollution used to just cover areas like Europe and the northeastern and midwestern parts of the US, but now it's expanded to cover everything. I guess this is not something we are supposed to talk about, because I don't see it mentioned anymore in articles about the environment.
The particulates in air pollution disperse the light that passes through the earth's atmosphere when the sun is behind it, creating a reddish-orange halo that lights the surface of the moon during an eclipse. For that same reason, sunsets are now very orange in color...they used to be different pastel shades.
This happened before in human history, there are observations in old texts about red or orange eclipses after large volcanic eruptions. But now our sunsets and lunar eclipses are reddish-orange all the time.
I think there are a lot of people who know the truth, and they keep their mouths shut for fear of losing their jobs or whatever. The truth is never popular.
I've seen a blue moon, absolutely. It was in the 1940's at my cousin's house. They used to happen, but don't anymore.
The Industrial Revolution is a failure, but there are people getting filthy rich from the status quo, and they truly don't care what we leave behind for future generations. What we are doing now is totally unsustainable.

All based on \'greed\'. Lives are bought and sold, and even killed off, daily on the basis of GREED. Pollution is GREED based and the lies that seek to cover it up are also just as GREED based.
Coping alone with crisis has forced me to see reality stripped naked without illusions, or even the buffering of knowing I am loved and well cared for. I am forced, late in life, at a time of crisis, to embrace reality fully if I even hope to survive. Gradually, I am achieving a viable life once again - even while seeing those that inflicted this sentence of death find their own suffering to be beyond their ability to cope with very well. The hand of Cosmic Justice is one of pain, but also comfort for it does not discriminate and only seeks an even playing field. For every \'Big Cheese\' prospering at the expense of the suffering of others, there is always a BIGGER RAT looking for a tasty snack where the Big Cheese will sooner or later become a much enjoyed \'snack of the Bigger Rat, hopefully in full view of those left to suffer at the whim of the \'Big Cheese\'.
I share this newly acquired \'point of view\' having survived a process of death without any mercy issued by those that claimed to love an invisible god but had no mercy and used god instead to justify whatever fed their true GREED based natures only parading as a love of god for their own personal gain.
To see the hand of \'cosmic justice\' seek an even playing field allows those of us severely harmed, as to be left impaired and ill, to understand and appreciate
more fully the reality of being human. I\'m no longer willing to lay down my life just so another person can achieve a better quality life, as was my life-long habit of doing, until I spent nine years so neglected and harmed where death and suffering became my constant reality given by those claiming to \'love\' and worship an invisible deity. I woke up one year ago and discovered I had bought fully into insanity and then began, out of desperation, to seek my way out of the maze I had been left for dead in. It is an interesting journey where I am beginning to reclaim a viable life once again. I just never will be allowed to return to live in such a state of blissful ignorance as was my life before illness combined with my attempted murder by severe neglect and abuse of those claiming to love an invisible god. Reality based and alive - I am AMAZED!!
GREED - if we want to understand anything related to being human all we have to do is follow the \'money trail\'. Yes, it is buried beneath all we claim as human virtue but it is there and when located reveals all there is to understand about the condition we claim as human.
With our imaginations we are capable of creating any reality we so choose - and DO all the time. Imagination is what gives human life quality along with providing the very worst of nightmares we are capable of generating. The \'justification\' given by those claiming to love god for the murder they attempt on my life is one example, all based on imagination, theirs of believing I am deserving of no better care and mine for being stupid enough, over my lifetime, to be a person of great faith - in what turned out to be a very deadly illusion to find my life depending on.
((hugs))
