On to Week # 5!
I have to say week 4 has by far, been the worst for me. Especially with the shingles, and what I have now discovered is a pinched sciatic nerve in my left hip. My joints and muscles have become progressively, very weak and painful, and I am easily turning my ankles, and joints feeling too loose and feeling like they are going out of socket if I step wrong. This is nothing I have ever experienced and I am sure it is side effects of tx. I am pretty certain that first pivoting turn where I felt a snap, was the beginning of the worst of my pain. The shingles coincidence muddied the pain waters as sciatica is also a typical symptom!! I am so grateful my doctor okayed me using ibuprofen. It has helped so much with inflammation of nerve sheath. I am very weak. And still having pain and extreme weakness, but pain is nowhere near a level 8 anymore!! That alone, is making these side effects not seem so damn bad after all!! Lol. I cannot believe after this week is done, I will be HALFWAY there!!! It seems so quick and forever at the same time!! My family has been so sweet to me and hubby taking on lots of my regular tasks, plus his full time job. I am very thankful...

Thanks WarriorGal! After this past week, I can\'t imagine how utterly overwhelming it must be for all who have gone though the old-style 48 week triple treatments, some multiple times, for naught!! I have so much respect for what they experienced and endured. And I feel like such a baby to complain, when I am so lucky to get approved for this 12 week TX so soon after being dx. People do need to be aware that even though it\'s shorter in duration, TX with Solvadi and Riba can still come with some pretty hefty side effects for some people. I can\'t imagine I\'m some kind of exception, either. I hope once Ribavirin is not needed any longer for any of the GTs, TX will be a breeze for most people!! Trying to stay positive. ;-)
I don\'t c a baby. No one survives hcv and tx without some battle scars. U have had a tough time of it ... no doubt. Really glad your husband has your back. U r half done already? Where did the time go? Keep looking for the silver lining and u will be done soon.
Thank you! I already started my new batch of meds (this is week 5), so another week is the TX halfway mark at 6 weeks of 12! June 6th is my last dose...
