On the burning of bridges

I'm always apt to delete "friends" on here if I feel like I've reached out and hear nothing in return.  It's nothing personal of course, but I'm not here for a popularity contest to see how many friends I have or win a beauty contest.  At the same time if you're someone that abject ignores me, then what are you doing on my page?  Even if you've only messaged me once before, and I still remember you doing so, that at least lets me know there's a real person on the other end of your profile.  For the silent out there, either we have absolutely nothing in common, you have absolutely nothing to say, or you absolutely don't care to say it and in any of those cases, why even bother?  We're just wasting our time.  If I delete someone and they come back of course I hold no grudge.  I'm too old to play games, and I'd like to add some male friends to my profile soon.  The last one who sent me a request was wearing no shirt and smiling at me with a "come hither stare" and it creeped me out enough to deny the request!   We all have our issues, mine is sometimes loneliness for obviously fucking good reasons.  I'm here to be me, not someone I change myself into being for you.  If you have a problem with me for being me, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.   I'm not going to say any of this again.  Some things are best left said once.
