On edge
Something is going on with him, but I can't quite put my finger on it. I hate that I have allowed myself to become this paranoid individual, but I just have the crazy feeling that something is about to blow. Has he found a way to figure out what I'm planning? Does he have a recorder rigged up in here? Have I not hidden my important things well enough? Is it just because I "allowed" my son to come back home without first consulting him? I'm going crazy here trying to figure out his next move.
Our sex life is nonexistent--not that I mind, sex has become an unenjoyable chore to me (long ago), but it is unusual. In 17 years together, he has NEVER allowed more than two days to go between sex, now it's been nearly two weeks. He isn't coming home after his first job to shower and then leave for work, he just isn't coming home until 10 PM or so every night. He sometimes eats what I fix, sometimes refuses to, but he never speaks to me at all--not to tell me what's on his mind or to complain, nothing since sometime last week.
So here I am--waiting for the explosion that I know is coming, and I feel like it is going to be a big one. I find myself wanting to provoke him to at least get it over with, but I don't want to "poke the dragon" at the same time. I'm just sitting here, anxiously awaiting the blow up.

This is typical behavior for abusers. If you think something is going to happen, it is. Prepare yourself, have a safety plan.
