On a positive note...

The girls and I had a GREAT day yesterday. We went to the beach, had a nice hike down the trails, spent six hours just relaxing and looking for shells and soaking up the sun. My sister and the kids came down after a few hours and we all just hung out and enjoyed the afternoon. Even Alyssa (after many complaints and a bit of an attitude) came around and admitted that she had a great day and would like to do it again next weekend--miracles never cease!!! All in all, it was a fantastic day and I am thankful that we got that experience. Planning to do it again next weekend (although Saturday is his birthday, but we'll see he probably won't be home anyway!!)
