On a mission from God.
I came back to DS for personal direction and advice on my love life. Or the lack of love in my life more like it. I never knew I was going to get myself caught up in helping a young girl in personal abuse situations that I'm experienced in through my own personal experiences. It's hard as fuck listening to what she says but I know this girl. She is my best friend all over again with a shit load of different twists in her life.
What I mean is, she's experiencing what an old friend of mine went through but everyone and everything is different. I can't explain more without saying things that will single out this strong, determined girl. Let's just say if history really repeats itself, if the stars actually line up fate in specific orders, if one thing literally lines up with another for the reasons of the individual event that's lined up, this girl is in for a world of shit. But, she has that spirit that will conquer everything and be a hero, even a God if that's possible.
I will do my best in doing everything I can to help her and her sister free themselves from what they are and about to experience in their lives. I might need help and I might need that "friend" to call. I know Jess can help but she's got a complete life altering situation going on right now so it's safe to say she ain't going to be available much.
Looks like God sent me back here for a reason.

You are right, each person and situation is different but the end result is the same. The trauma and after effects which you already know and have seen, will be very similar, as will be the path there. So it is very good you are able to help this friend. With luck they will be able to do what is needed to get to a safe place and i am sure you will help where you can with advising them.
You are a caring person with a huge heart. You are here for more than just this situation..
you are the perfect person for many reasons.
You rock, and helping others helps yourself!
Hang in there!
There are non- profits that help victims of domestic violence. They are terrific resources. But if it’s parental abuse against the children, that a different thing. Sometimes just one person believing in you makes a huge difference. I had a neighbor I thought was like my guide star but as I’ve grown up, I’ve realized she was not that much help to me. I realized she gave help when it served her own purpose but I thought she really favored me.
Thanks for all that you are doing to help our mutual friend. You are making a huge difference by being there, sharing your story, and making her feel safe to share hers. Sending a hug your way.
