olive garden for dinner//4 people left from the office park//raining//hemoglobin low again

its raining and its cooled down a lot from it.  70 degrees, but its night right now.
very strange week.  went to olive garden with my bosses, he has an expense account and there is an olive garden next to the office park in orlando that they go to three times per month.  they have a special right now that is a buy one get one.  totally worth it.  we were at the olive garden over here though, not there.  after a meeting over here.  there was also another dinner of some sort as a farewell, to one who is in the "bracket" of people to be fired/early retired.  hmmm.  if they can't collect and they don't have any savings and they are 58 or 60, how is it an early retire.  so then they should do what?  seriously.  one of the guys he said the higher end of the heirarchy called him directly to give him other options when he noticed he fell into this bracket.  that is how they treat people after 25 and 30 years with a company and a perfect record?  unreal.  then the replacement ends up being two years older and for slightly more money because no one who is 30 has the right experience and/or willing to do the job for the pittance they pay this guy.  i'll stop.  its something you read about in college and every time i see this it freaks me out.  seriously.  if its not broke, don't fix it.  leave it alone.
two of the others simply don't feel comfortable with new management and left.  hope it works out for them.  its a risk if you aren't at all near 62.  and the other is finally living on his boat and is the one who plans to live in the pacific ocean on his boat 60 miles from land.  omg!  he and his wife planned this, got a captain's license ten years ago.  bought the boat.  its now or never.  i hope he blogs it.

if the company is following machiavelli,  the next age bracket is people in their 50's, now is that just the people making decent money or people that age in general?  as far as i know our own company doesn't do this.   machiavelli claims the secretaries are the absolute last to go because no company can run without them (and they know too much.  lol.  there is a joke that follows that, but i'll have to find it).   however, our company was bought out a few years ago, so who knows?  its the weirdest week!  seriously.  it makes everyone nervous, which is the reason some left on their own, they don't want to wait for the ax, just like during the lay offs people stopped returning because you never know when you will suddenly be without funds.  creepy.  it gives you an ulcer.
while waiting to see if a got the bid, found a mobile that is super cheap in an rv park that is fairly local and would be a nice way for him to save money.  they have all amenities like a resort and even if its temporary, those places are fun.  everything at once.  he also found half a duplex.  he also had two of his cars break down - more money out.  he really needs a break.  and the pet sitter called DEMANDING he get his dogs from her and pay up something.  his son also got sick, he's five and it turns out the child has a compromised immune system same as his mother, (who died a few years ago, age 19).  when it rains it pours.  didn't call rn yet on this.

its too much change all at once.  i'm in a LOT of pain today and i'm not supposed to take baby aspirin anymore until they find out where the bleeding is coming from.  my hemoglobin is low again.  they are being vigilant and i appreciate it.  you feel cared for with this group of doctors, but some things are off anyway.

so in addition to the weirdness (which hasn\'t stopped) is it a full moon? the vacation club called and i bothered to pick up. its that time of the year. its funny, everyone is busted financially for so many years now, but everyone still takes vacations. there is tons of traffic as well, no idea why, and i told a that rn is completely FREAKED about the dog situation now that she is babysitting again and not being reimbursed by him at all. he needs to start working at something more solid that pays. but its a cycle, whatever other certifications he needs he can\'t go for because he doesn\'t have the money to pay the fees. so awful. he says his son is two years behind on everything and he is blaming vaccinations. they are totally normal and then they get that mmr thing and suddenly the kid is whacko and the whacko never goes away. wow! so sad. why is our government doing this?

got a baby gate for the dog for the deck and so far its working well. also went to the pound because a torti came in, but i don\'t think its her. it had something wrong with the eye and then i realized that could be an injury since december so i\'ll go look again.

this bit with rn worked itself out. a picked up the dogs the following week - he wrote post-dated checks to her. i fronted money for him, that is going to have to be fronted by our main office. i also want them to front money for him to get certified in something that will make him more money (its only $200, so that will be a war and it shouldn\'t be. most offices (our\'s included) have cash advance and loans of sorts. everyone does. but since we were bought out they claim we don\'t. shouldn\'t they let us know if they take things away?). so rn isn\'t behind anymore. i bought food for the dogs. she is reimbursed for 3 large bags of dog food as well and the comfortis she bought for them (which is really just a piece of a large dog comfortis split up. they sell them at spca for $15 once per month, and have ads in the free paper around here. i\'m the one that had the dogs fixed and shots otherwise she wouldn\'t pet sit them at all, that is how that works). so then she calls in a happy mood asking how the dogs are and he understands they can come back anytime if he gets bad luck again. a has bad luck all the time for some reason - ever since he got married 20 years ago. i never said this, but since she has bad luck all the time and he never had bad luck until he married her....never mind...but it is what runs through one\'s mind.

she also wanted me to know that the house across from her is going for $67,000 on a foreclosure. we have a new client that has $75,000 cash and he only wants to buy where she lives. i was thinking the ocean or by the river for him, unless she meant, for a, if he doesn\'t get the bid on the house he bid on. i was looking through the bids that people won lately and MANY are BELOW asking price, not above, so i have my fingers crossed for him. if his father was still alive, i don\'t think he\'d be in this mess. though he says his father was messed up for several years after his wife, (a\'s mother) died. completely unexpected. then you have to wrap your head around it and try to understand it and it keeps going on and on
