Old Town pics
Hey I have some fave places I like to visit and revisit. One of them is Old Town Alexandria. The town dates back to 1749, Washington spent a lot of time there. The town is 8 miles north of Mt. Vernon.
There is a farmer's market year-round on Sat mornings at the town square. The town is in the flight path for National Airport so you can hear and see the planes as they are landing. Right across the Potomac is MD and National Harbor and the MGM grand hotel and casino. And there is a water taxi that will take you to National Harbor and DC. I haven't tried using the ferry, yet, but I will try it sometime.
There is a Ben and Jerry's there. I stopped in and took photos of the cow seat, VW Bus and peace sign and the ice cream cones in the display case.
There is an old street, Prince St, where there are cobblestones, people like to drive on it. Also where there are gas lights outside the home. It's also the street where the Halloween decorations are. I've taken photos of them last year.
I hope you enjoy my photos. I have more in another post from the Torpedo factory (art center)

Nice photos! At the Ben and Jerry's factory in Waterbury, they have tours and at the end of the tour, they give you free ice cream of what they were making during the tour.
