Old Childhood Home
When I was really little, my dad rented a property from his aunt. When she died, she willed the property to her grandson instead. I have a lot of good childhood memories in that house.
The grandson lost it a few years ago but now the property is up for sale again. I wish someone in the family could afford to buy it. The people are asking way too much for it.
When I was growing up there, it had a big old barn with a loft and stables and a tack room. Dad rented that and the pastures too. We had lots of horses and there was a pond to fish in. It was nice, not anything like mom's house.
It just makes me sick that I can't buy it and live there again. Too many of the homes around here are being sold off to outsiders. But I can't outbid anyone. I don't have the income or savings. And of course I don't have a husband or anyone who could help buy a house with me. Which brings up bad feelings and bad memories. Lots of hate.

I have never owned a house but the house I grew up in for 49+yrs was sold about a year and half ago and they really butchered the interior of the house....the master fireplace chimney and all are gone...it is now a opening to their kitchen.....which is on opposite side of house from the driveway....they gotta walk with groceries all the way thru the house.....amazing....it was totally money spent they had a$750K budget to rehab the house they bought for almost half million...they probably spent all of that too....
