Okay Weekend
It was mostly restful. Saturday night, I went to visit Gladys. She's made a little Christmas of here own. Sunday, we went to the MCOC to donate money for Uganda. We had to take a taxi for that. Our cabbie was rather silent until the end when he decided to tell us what coffee jointws were good and what coffee joints were not. We went to see "Carols by Candlelight" at one of the local Baptist churches.
Cathleen has to pass a test to see if she has learned all the skills that an entry level sailor is supposed to learn before she can have a holiday pass. She was going to pass through here in Jackson and go up to Oklahoma to see her fiancee' but she doesn't know if she can do that now. She's been having barracks duty which means running the Color and Honor Guard and does invovle some performance duties like singing and such. She's done well. Sometimes, she gets lonely. Allen is better at conversation than I, but I try to communicate to her when I can.
We have a box of clothes for her.
Essentially it is one week until Christmas.
I'm at work; under the radar, not bothering the beast who lies above on the sixth floor.
