OK... now a step back...

It is actually just a small one... (and maybe just a sideways step at that?)  I have put things off that I need to check and get taken care of as far as my health.  Now I am taking the necessary steps and will take things on one at a time as I have to follow protocol and tell this one or ask that one til I get through things.

My problem is  I have one or two things which could be an issue. Possibly involving surgery and in reality telling me it is time for this "career" to come to an end.  With the heavy lifting involved (not to mention 40 hours of being on cement floors and on my feet)... it is not something I should continue for much longer.  Once I get this taken care of, I am sure I will be adviseed it is a risk for it to reoccur if I step right back into the same routine (plus it will take a long while til cleared to go back at 100%.

It is actually funny because I have been wanting to do something else and to go somewhere else since I also have dysfunction at the workplace too.  I have been a bit leery though as I need a steady paycheck and benefits.

My problem is I have bloodwork this week then a followup the following week with family Dr (who I haven't had much faith in ... but have to trust him for now to get the ball rolling)  I am already thinking  and projecting with all that time to go...    SO I need you all to tell me again.... 1 step at a time.... and worrying does nothing....

Deal?  (half a smile here)

Thanks so much... Kim

Deal! One step at a time and no worrying allowed.
Be proud of yourself for taking care of yourself and do what you have to do to keep yourself healthy.

Time to use that brain of yours instead of the backbone. I’m sure you could manage a team with your experience. Could you transfer to another store?
Take it a little slower and remember that your well being is more important than veggies.

Thanks everybody. Jason I may very well transfer to another store, but realistically as a mgr or a co... you should be able to do anything you ask your help to do. I get annoyed as there are several who delegate and do very little of their own work (either because of their own health issues or just because they don't care. It frustrates me to no end.) Ultimately, it is not worth the headaches to stay there.

My thing is I need to get my act together and also attempt what is involved to "switch gears" at this stage of the game. Again... another projection too far ahead... I need to focus on now.

My husband is casually looking for a new job and within the last two weeks he’s had calls to set up interviews. Whether any pan out remains to be seen but as far companies hiring right now, I think it just depends on the type of work. Doesn’t hurt to just explore what you may want to do.

I will be thinking of you and praying that everything all works out. Maybe this is just a strong push to get you moving on to something new.

A millionaire friend once told, me that fear never made a man rich. He also said, there ain't no money in wages, only selling.. I believe that now because rarely a day goes by that I don't get a sale!

Whatever you choose to do, do it because you love it. If you love it, the money will come!

Good luck!
